Preparatory Work Before eto Sterilization

  1. Appearance Inspection: Check the main unit, control rack, and electrical control cabinet for any damage on the surface.
  2. Power Supply Inspection: Ensure the power supply meets requirements, and check the rotation direction of the water pump and vacuum pump.
  3. Power On: Turn on the power and observe whether the display values on the instruments are normal. If not, cut off the power, perform inspection and repairs, then restart.
  4. Pipeline Inspection: Check for leaks in the water supply, vacuum, and medication delivery pipelines, and verify that all valves are in standby position; adjust if necessary.
  5. Parameter Setting: For example, set the medication amount by placing the medication bottle on an electronic scale (scale provided by the user), confirm the weight of the bottle, start the vacuum pump to reach the set pressure value, and open the medication bottle to deliver the medication. Typically, the medication amount during eto Sterilization is 400-800 mg/L (referring to the amount of pure ethylene oxide input; if using a mixture of gases with ethylene oxide, ensure that the amount of ethylene oxide meets this requirement). When the medication weight reaches the standard, the pressure at this point indicates the amount of medication delivered.
  6. Before each eto Sterilization cycle, verify that the parameter settings meet the needs of the batch of sterilized items; otherwise, reset the eto Sterilization parameters.
