2. Water-Saving Performance
Example: A 5.5 kW water ring pump consumes approximately 20 liters per minute. For a 20m³ sterilizer chamber with 8 vacuum cycles (22 minutes each), total water consumption per cycle reaches 3.52 tons.
With 14 cycles per week, total weekly consumption exceeds 49 tons. After installing BOCON’s exclusive Gas-water separator system, water replacement is required only once per week, saving approximately 45 tons of water per week (approx. 180 tons per month). This is especially valuable in water-scarce regions.

The BOCON EG Burner combines waste liquid treatment and energy recycling. For example, a 100m³ sterilizer system can save approximately RMB 230,000 per year in electricity costs based on China industrial power rates. It also enables catalyst recovery, reducing ongoing operating expenses.

EO is a flammable, explosive chemical. Its fire and explosion characteristics are system dependent. Some of the
characteristics for EO/air mixtures are as follows:
• Theminimumvaluecitedforthelowerflammable limit of EO air mixtures is 2.6% EO[20].
• The upper flammable limit is typically stated to be 100% because under certain conditions pure EO can violently
decompose with a significant release of heat in the absence of air or oxygen.
• Accordingly, the flammable range of EO-air mixtures is 2.6–100% EO.
• The autoignition temperature of EO in air at 14.7 psia is 833°F (445°C)

The entire ETO sterilization cycle usually takes between 12 to 24 hours. This includes critical stages: pre-conditioning (temperature/humidity adjustment), gas injection, exposure, and a lengthy aeration period to safely remove residual EO gas.
